The state of Louisiana has tons of private and public colleges and universities with accounting programs. The three largest schools with accounting programs in the state are public universities: Southeastern Louisiana University and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

The accounting programs usually offer a Bachelor of Science (B.S.), a Master of Science (M.S.), and a doctorate (Ph.D.) in accounting. Some programs also provide assistance in finding internships for students. A few universities provide students with an accounting lab, where they can strengthen their accounting skills with accounting projects, and student organizations.
